I sooo agree with your industry insight.. LOL.. Brings a smile to my face as I can remember a time when people really valued "good" "timeless" music, no matter what genre/artist, etc.., and couldn't wait to run to the store and support their favorite release.. Now, fans/consumers are confused because they don't have a clear picture of what "the real product" is (mix tapes vs albums). Artist participate in to much frivolousness over-exposure these days which yes, "entertains fans", but dose not encourage them to buy music.. It has become more a high school'ish popularity contest come release time for most artist's instead of being about the music.. Good stuff though thatretailchick! Keep it coming..
